CHORLEY FC U11s travelled to Warwick this weekend to collect their North West Premiership Champions trophy and medals, before taking on the JPL Invitational Champions Finals 2026.
With the fixture falling on a bank holiday weekend, the squad was stretched, making the trip with just 10 players. In challenging circumstances, the team had no recognised goalkeeper, with one of the outfield players stepping up admirably to take on the role.
Drawn into a highly competitive group of six, Chorley faced fellow Premiership-winning sides from across the country. Despite the level of opposition and the limited squad size, the young Magpies rose to the occasion with a series of impressive performances.
Competing with determination, resilience and quality throughout, Chorley were unfortunate not to secure a second-place finish in the group, narrowly losing their final match in what proved to be the decisive fixture.
Nevertheless, finishing joint third in such a strong group represents an excellent achievement and is a testament to the attitude and ability of the players.
The squad did themselves, their coaches, their families and Chorley Football Club incredibly proud across the day, capping off what has already been a fantastic season as North West Premiership champions.
A huge congratulations to all involved.
