NOW that our 2025/26 campaign has concluded, we'd like to take this time to THANK all of our loan players from this season.
All told, seven players donned the famous black and white striped shirt, with each and every single one proving to be a real success under Andy Preece.
George Pratt - seven games, one goal. Pratty has gone from strength to strength since returning to Blackburn Rovers, a MOTM display against Preston North End and has recently been handed a new contract by Rovers.
Lucas Weaver - five games, two goals. Lucas scored a brace against Radcliffe to earn a vital away point, before being recalled by Altrincham. Lucas has finished off the season strongly with Alty, scoring two on the final day.
Owen German - 14 games, one goal. Across two spells, Owen built himself into an integral part of the Magpies' midfield for the second-half of the season. A hard-working, combative, technically gifted midfielder with bags of potential.
Taelor O'Kane - 24 games, one goal. Another midfielder, who played across two spells this season. Adept as a six or an eight, Taelor followed in the footsteps of Danny Ormerod, joining from AFC Fylde and will be another looking to kick on again in his career next season.
Anjola Popoola - six games, three goals. Popoola, 18, joined the Magpies having previously spent time away at Marine AFC. An instant hit infront of goal, and with our supporters, Anj would eventually be recalled into the first team fold with Accrington Stanley before more recently, signing on loan with Macclesfield.
Harry Ibbitson - 40 games, six goals. Signing for the Magpies before the opening day of the season, Harry has enjoyed a strong season of senior football in the National League North. Ibbo was awarded the 'Emerging Talent' award at the end of season presentation by Andy Preece.
Max Wilson - 28 games, two goals. Joining on loan from Preston North End, Max came in as a central midfielder who was adaptible in playing either out wide or upfront. A tireless, hard-worker, who will go far in his future career, 100%. Max scored on the final day of the season and picked up the Young Player of the Season award from Andy Preece at the weekend.
In terms of those seven players, Andy Preece wanted to add the following.
"We've done brilliantly with our loan signings this year.
A few have had previous unsuccessful loans and not played regularly.
Credit to Kyle (Preece) for spotting their potential and to everyone at the club for giving them an environment to flourish.
Thanks to all the clubs for trusting us and to all the lads for giving everything for Chorley FC.
You are all a real credit to your clubs."
Everybody at Chorley FC would like to thank all of our loan players this season, and all of their parent clubs for allowing the players to develop with us. Thank you!
