WE'RE absolutely delighted to announce that Warren Clarke has put pen to paper on a new contract to extend his stay with the Magpies.

Having joined Chorley in June of 2024, Warren has gone from strength to strength in Andy Preece's side.

A product of Sheffield Wednesday at youth level, coming through as a scholar, Warren spent several years with The Owls before eventually moving on to fellow National League North side, Buxton.

Warren had a lengthy injury which kept him out for some time, before eventually signing for Ashton United. The 28-year old was closely watched for a while before putting pen to paper with The Magpies, but, came with a raving review from Jamie Vermiglio, having managed him at Buxton.

Warren is closing in on 100 appearances for the club, currently sitting on 97 total, scoring three times. Warren has one goal to his name this season, an important one at that, away at Merthyr Town. A mainstay in the team, he has played more games than anybody else in 2025/26 (48).

Having signed the deal, Warren had this to say.

"Delighted to have gotten this done, first and foremost. I'm really happy here, enjoying my football and it was a no-brainer, really. Hopefully we can kick on again next season and I am looking forward to it."

Thank you to David Brindley for sponsoring Warren once again in 2025/26.
