THE club can confirm this afternoon that Sonny Reeves has put pen to paper on a first-team contract with the Magpies ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Sonny, 17, has come on leaps and bounds through the age groups with the Magpies.
A tricky, fast, technically gifted and hard-working winger, Sonny has been prolific in terms of goals and assists for the club's U19 title-winning side this season, in partnership with the Steven Gerrard Academy.
Sonny experienced his first taste of senior competitive football in 2024/25, spending time out on loan at both Prestwich Heys and Mossley AFC. The 17-year old also featured in Chorley's first-team pre-season schedule last season.
Andy Preece had the following to say regarding Sonny.
"Sonny has great ability on the ball.
He's exciting to watch, always looks to beat his man and create chances and goals.
Sonny has started to add end product to his approach play.
He scored at Step 4 so he will be looking to make that next step this season.
Both he and Noel (Brindle) have come through our BTEC Scholarship Programme which continues to go from strength to strength."
