THE final day of the season. Judgement Day in the race for the end-of-season playoffs.

Just like the last couple of weeks the Magpies have to win at the TigerTurf Stadium later, then the season is guaranteed to be extended into next week. For our hosts, who are one point behind, it’s slightly trickier. They must win and hope for help from other results around the league.

What an afternoon it’s shaping up to be.

All we could ask for was to get to the final day with the situation in our own hands. If we win the game we’re in the playoffs. We’ve responded superbly with two big wins over the last two Saturdays and now we’ve one more hurdle to jump  Andy Preece

Our Opponents

  • Club Gloucester City (The Tigers)
  • Founded 1883
  • Manager Steven King (1st season)
  • This season 10th in Vanarama National League North (65pts from 45 games)

Earlier this season

Connor celebrates his opener in September (Stefan Willoughby)

The Magpies cruised to a 3-0 win at the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium, in a game that was to be then Gloucester manager Lee Mansell’s last in charge.

Ollie Shenton, Billy Whitehouse and Connor Hall all found the net in the second half for Andy Preece’s men, sending the majority 1,375 crowd home happy.
