Club Statement | Spennymoor Town Rearranged Fixture
Published on  Updated on

CHORLEY FC can now release the following official statement regarding our rearranged fixture vs Spennymoor Town on Tuesday, February 13.

After the initial fixture was abandoned due to unplayable conditions back in December, it was agreed that the rearranged fixture would be financially played under FA Trophy rules due to the initial fixture being abandoned.

The standardised rules of an abandonment (8.36) states that in the event that a match is abandoned before half time the club playing at home will issue a voucher to each spectator valid for free admission.

In the event that the match is abandoned during or after the half time interval the Club playing at home is not obliged to issue such a voucher.

The fixture in question was abandoned after half time.

This does not equate to the League instructing all spectators must pay, for example, another club with an abandoned game this season who despite there being no requirement in the League rule, offered replacement tickets for the re-arranged fixture.

Following lengthy discussions with Spennymoor Town, whilst factoring in certain costs to be met including travel costs for Spennymoor Town we have decided on an equitable pricing structure to meet the league ruling.

  • Adult £10
  • Concession (65+) £5
  • U18s £5
  • U12s go FREE with an accompanying, paying adult

Both existing purchasers of the original ticket and season ticket holders on production of their respective tickets can purchase at the concession price of £5.
