THE club can confirm this afternoon that Tom Carr has been retained ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Having signed for the Magpies in June 2024, Tom, was a regular starter for Andy Preece throughout the 2024/25 campaign having moved up two leagues following his departure from Leek Town.
Tom made 51 appearances in all competitions, scoring 13 goals in total, claiming the club's top-goalscorer accolade for 2024/25 in the process. The 23-year old rounded off the season in good form, with four goals in the Magpies' final four games with two apiece against Radcliffe and Rushall Olympic.
Andy Preece had the following to say regarding Tom.
"Tom has made the transition from step four to step two with relative ease.
It took a while to get that first goal but his performances were always good.
He got on a roll scoring at the end of the season and he will be a big player for us next season.
If he keeps improving who knows what he's capable of."
