THE club can confirm this afternoon that Adam Blakeman has put pen to paper on a new contract to extend his stay with the Magpies ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Blakey has had two successful spells with the Magpies to date, now tallying to 351 total appearances with the club. The 33-year old was a member of our promotion, playoff-winning squad in the 2018/19 season.
Having bagged over 20 assists in 2024/25, Blakey has had one of the best seasons of his entire career, and played a key part in the Magpies' output both offensively and defensively from full-back.
"Blakey has probably had one of the best seasons of his career.
He seems to be getting better with age, his experience and qualities are vital for us.
To get some 20-plus assists is an incredible achievement and was rightly picked in the Team of the Season.
We have now retained the majority of our defensive line, which gives us a great base to start from."
