CHORLEY FC are delighted to confirm that Jack Rice has signed on with the Magpies following his recent departure from Southern League Premier Division South side, Tiverton Town.
Jack, originally from Devon, came through the youth ranks with Plymouth Argyle, Yeovil Town and Southampton before plying his trade in senior football down south with Taunton Town, Truro City, Hendon, Willand Rovers and most recently, Tiverton Town.
An attacking midfielder who can play both through the middle and out wide, Jack racked up 20-goals for Tivvy in 2023/24 and feels now is the right time to make the move up north to Lancashire, to kick on with the Magpies.
Manager, Andy Preece, had this to say upon finalising the deal.
"Jack is a player that the fans will love.
He scores spectacular goals, very good on the ball and loves playing football.
His finishing shows a high quality of technical ability which transfers to any level.
To come up North to try and further your career speaks volumes for his belief and commitment.
Jack did really well in a team that struggled last season and has some similar qualities we saw in Jack Hazelhurst.
He’s a confident lad and an infectious character.
Jack can play in a number of positions, everyone's really looking forward to seeing him in a Chorley shirt."
