OUR next open trial at the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium ahead of the 2023/24 academic year is coming up on Wednesday, May 10, from 6pm.
If you’re considering your options for post-16 education from next September onwards the Chorley FC Education Programme – in partnership with the world-renowned Steven Gerrard Academy – is the place for you.
The latest trial is for current year 10 & 11 students PLUS students finishing their first year at college who are looking for a change of direction for the next academic year.
Second year Harrison Kay with the first team
It is a fantastic opportunity for local players aged 16-18 to experience the excellent facilities and meet UEFA licensed coaches who will work with to ensure they reach their footballing potential – whether that’s a career in professional football or the wider football industry.
- Our Education Programme allows students to study a BTEC Level-3 Extended Diploma in Sport, gain significant work experience and opens up a professional network for future employment.
- Any player who joins our Education Programme will benefit from training and playing games multiple times per week, alongside gaining a recognised BTEC qualification.
- Players who currently play for a club will see improvements to their game, whilst also being encouraged to continue to play for their current club.
- Our programme does not require players to choose between the programme or their club.
- Players will flourish under the guidance of UEFA Pro licensed first team manager, Andy Preece.
It is widely regarded that players on our Education programme will develop both on and off the pitch and become more well-rounded individuals. This development will also benefit the clubs they play for.
If you would like to register yourself or someone else for an Open Trial or would like more info about the programme – submit your interest directly to andy.preece@chorleyfc.com.
