CHORLEY travel to Edgar Street this Saturday to take on Hereford in their latest Enterprise National League North fixture.

The Magpies remain unbeaten after three games, following a 2-2 draw with Scarborough Athletic on Tuesday night which came after wins against Darlington and Chester.

Andy Preece’s men sit among the early pace-setters and will be looking to add another three points on the road.

Last Time Out

Chorley’s first midweek outing of the season ended in a share of the spoils as they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Scarborough at Victory Park.

Scarborough hit the front first through Stephen Walker before Adam Blakeman fired the Magpies level with a brilliant free-kick. Walker doubled his tally right on half-time from the spot before after Tom Carr had made it 2-1 to Chorley barely minutes earlier.

An end-to-end game where both sides felt they could have snatched the win on another night.

Opposition Focus

Hereford picked up their first win of the season in midweek, coming from behind to beat Buxton away from home by two goals to one.

Manager Paul Caddis saw his team lose their opening two fixtures – a 2-0 defeat at Spennymoor and a 2-0 defeat at home to King’s Lynn Town – but Tuesday’s comeback victory gives them a timely confidence boost.

The Bulls have made several changes over the summer, adding experience across the pitch, and Caddis has called for his side to make Edgar Street a difficult place to visit as they look to improve on last season’s mid-table finish.

Head to Head

Last season the Bulls won at Edgar Street, Yusifu Ceesay's goal the difference back in December 2024, while the game at Chorley last season ended in a score draw, 1-1, Matt Urwin denying Andy Williams the winner on that day from the penalty spot.
