CHORLEY welcome King’s Lynn Town to Victory Park this Bank Holiday Monday in their latest Enterprise National League North fixture.

The Magpies remain unbeaten after four games, following a convincing 4-1 win away at Hereford last weekend – a result which came after victories over Darlington and Chester, and a draw with Scarborough Athletic.

Andy Preece’s men have made a strong start and will be aiming to continue their momentum against the Linnets.

Last Time Out

Chorley produced their most clinical display of the season so far as they swept aside Hereford 1-4 at Edgar Street.

Goals from Craig Hewitt, Adam Blakeman and Jack Sampson (two) saw the Magpies take control, with the performance capped off by an assured defensive display and ruthless finishing in front of goal.

The result keeps Chorley among the early front-runners in the division and extended their unbeaten run to four matches.

Opposition Focus

King’s Lynn Town head to Lancashire on the back of a 1-1 draw with Darlington  on Saturday – a result which gives them another point after a mixed start to the campaign, though, not forgetting their 0-5 win at Spennymoor Town recently.

The Linnets have undergone changes over the summer and will be eager to improve on last season, targeting stability and consistency under their current setup.

They remain a competitive outfit at this level and will look to make life difficult for Chorley at Victory Park.

Head to Head

The two sides last met in the playoff eliminator, Mark Ellis's late goal the difference on the night. Prior to that, in 2024/25, the Magpies drew 0-0 at the Walks Stadium and won 2-1 at the Grant Store Victory Park Stadium.

Meetings between these two teams are often closely contested, and Monday's game promises to be no different.
