THE club can confirm this afternoon that Jack Sampson has put pen to paper on a new contract to extend his stay with the Magpies ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Jack, a 32 year-old, combative and hard-working striker, signed permanently for the club back in February 2022.
Having initially signed for the club on loan in 2017, Sampson would then go on to spend time with fellow National League North clubs, Southport and AFC Fylde, before returning to the club in 2022/23.
All told, Jack has made 121 appearances for the club, scoring 31 times. Sampo had a tough time out in 2024/25, missing a fair chunk of the campaign through injury, scoring four times in 16 games.
Andy Preece had the following to say regarding Jack signing on.
"Sampo is a key player in our squad so I'm really happy to get him over the line.
Both on and off the pitch he leads by example.
He was looking like he would have one of his best seasons before injury struck last season.
Sampo was magnificent in our Brackley Town games, showing he's one of the best number nines in the league.
He's worked extremely hard in the off-season to prove his fitness.
Credit to him, he loves playing with the lads and for the club."
We hope you will join us in looking forward to seeing more of Jack in the famous black and white shirt!
