THREE second-half goals from George Horbury (two) and Warren Clarke were enough to see Chorley through to the third qualifying round of the FA Cup, securing a 0-3 win at Mossley AFC.
The Magpies created the better chances in the opening phases of the game. Adam Blakeman took a perfect corner, which landed nicely on the foot of Joe Nolan. His effort, unfortunately, struck the bar.
Just after the 15th minute, Craig Hewitt beat three men before cutting the ball back to Momodou Touray, who dummied it for George Horbury who just couldn't get his foot to it.
Right before the end of the first half, Hewitt produced a clever flick to see Mike Calveley in one-on-one, but Fin Madigan produced a fantastic save to deny the midfielder.
It was a slow start to the second half, just like the first. After an early substitution, Warren Clarke made an impact in the 62nd minute, beating two men before finding Touray, who was well saved by his decisive strike.
In the 72nd minute, the Magpies found their opener. George Horbury was in space, and the ball fell kindly to the midfielder, where his first-time effort was smashed into the top corner.
A minute before the 90, Warren Clarke doubled Chorley's lead. A clean finish on one to see us through to the hat for the next round.

However, it wasn’t done yet. Just before the whistle, Horbury doubled his tally. After the ball fell at his feet, he could not miss it to wrap up the tie nicely.
