CHORLEY exited the LFA Trophy, losing 2-3 to Bamber Bridge following a second-half comeback from the visitors on Tuesday night.
It took almost half an hour for either team to really have any clear-cut chances on goal, Sam Bird coming close after his shot was cleared off the line.
Then, a corner just two minutes later was delivered to the back post, landing perfectly on the head of Danny Ormerod, who cushioned it back towards goal.
Essa Janneh met it, but, unfortunately, it sailed over the bar.
Just on the stroke of half-time, Tom Carr found the opener. Pressing from the front and not giving up on a lost ball, the striker got his reward with his first competitive goal of the season, smashing it past James Pradic in goal.

The start of the second period was much quicker than the first. Liam Birchall delivered a pinpoint cross along the floor, which was turned home by Jacob Holland-Wilkinson, who doubled the Magpies' lead.
On the hour mark, the visitors got one back thanks to a header from Simon Grand, who comfortably headed it home past Steven Drench in goal.
Eight minutes later, Macauley Wilson leveled the match for the visitors with a curling effort over the wall, which Drench could do nothing about.
After that, the visitors would win a penalty just three minutes after scoring. Wilson would take it and calmly slot it past Drench into the far corner to see Bamber Bridge run out winners on the night.
With several first-team players rested, the Magpies will be looking forward to their trip to Chester this weekend in the Vanarama National League North.
