CHORLEY got themselves back to winning ways after a defeat in midweek to secure their sixth consecutive league win on home soil, a 2-1 victory over Rushall Olympic.
The Magpies started slowly in the game, much as they left off from Tuesday's game against Brackley Town, the best of the early chances falling to Mark Ellis who couldn't direct his header at goal having been left free at the back post from a corner.
Rushall's first opportunity fell to Owen Oseni after a mix-up at the back from Justin Donawa and Max Dearnley lead to Owen Farmer being let in behind to cross, but Oseni couldn't hit the target with the goal gaping.
Chorley began to grow into the game with a spell of sustained possession and were eventually rewarded for their attacking efforts, JACK HAZLEHURST getting on the end of Justin Johnson's ball over the top before dinking Jacob Weaver smartly with his left foot to grab the opening goal.

Andy Preece's side grew in confidence after the goal but were dealt a sucker punch only three minutes later, Rushall equalising after the ball inadvertently went in off goalkeeper Max Dearnley from Cameron McWilliams's cross.
Chorley didn't have to wait long to re-take the lead though, MARK ELLIS making no mistake this time by getting on the end of Hazlehurst's cross with his head after a well setup free-kick routine by Adam Blakeman and the former, Hazlehurst.
After the restart, the Magpies continued to push for a third goal in an attempt to kill the game off but chances were limited at both ends in all fairness.
Rushall began to become frustrated in the contest, a number of bookings totting up and were very nearly on the receiving end of a goal of the season contender as Johnson weaved in and out of five or six Pics' players before just skewing his shot wide of the mark.
To their credit, Chorley did excellently well in their game management to restrict the visitors to only three shots all game, ultimately sealing the three points on the day to keep the Magpies in third position in the Vanarama National League North table.
