PREVIEW: Prescot Cables
Published on  Updated on

ANOTHER pre-season friendly is almost upon us ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, as we make the journey over to take on Prescot Cables this Tuesday.

Our hosts won the Northern Premier League West Division play-off final, beating City of Liverpool 2-0 in May to secure their spot in the Northern Premier League, Premier Division this season.

Prescot make their return to step three football for the first time in 15-years and with that, wholesale changes have been made on and off the field. Having changed their managerial backroom staff at one point, Cables are now as they were with Ste Daley in charge as manager.

Cables lost 0-3 in a pre-season friendly vs Widnes a week ago, before running out 1-2 winners against Northwich Victoria to lift the 1884 Cup.

A word from Preecy

"Another test to come on Tuesday with Prescot, they're a side on the up who look to have resolved their off-field issues recently. They'll make it difficult and it'll be a game that should prove fruitful for both sides. A big thank you to Ste Daley and the club for hosting us."
