CHORLEY will hope to kick start their Emirates FA Cup campaign away at Congleton Town this Saturday.

The Magpies got back to winning ways last Saturday, a battling, resilient display to beat AFC Telford United 3-1 on home soil.

However, facing an unfamiliar Congleton side who have won their last three games, Andy Preece and his team will have to be up for the battle in a potential banana skin for the Magpies.

Last Time Out

After two successive defeats to Leamington and Curzon Ashton, Chorley beat Kevin Wilkin's AFC Telford United side at the Grant Store Victory Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors took the lead through Adan George in the early stages, before goals from Tom Carr, Adam Henley and Mike Calveley secured all three points in what was a very strong performance by the visitors.

Opposition Focus

Whilst the Magpies come into this weekend’s fixture having won last time out, hosts Congleton have won their last three.

The Bears beat Stockport County in midweek in the Cheshire Senior Cup, a 1-0 win with Brian Barton's goal the difference on the night.

Prior to that, Richard Duffy's side beat Vauxhall Motors in the FA Trophy 3-1, a 0-1 win in the NPL West at Kidsgrove Athletic.

They also got an impressive 0-0 draw at home against Bury, and beat Stafford Rangers 0-1 before that. They really do come into this game in red-hot form.
