WE’RE off on our travels again this Saturday to take on Boston United in the Vanarama National League North at the Jakemans Community Stadium.
The Magpies extended their unbeaten run on Tuesday away at Blyth Spartans and were unfortunate not to return back to the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium with all three points on the night.
Justin Johnson in action against Blyth Spartans (David Airey)
"I thought the lads were magnificent - the effort, the running, the desire to get back behind the ball to get blocks in... it's a tough ask to come up here midweek and I thought first-half we pretty much controlled the tempo of the game, disappointing to concede so late on but in the grand scheme of things November has been an unbelievable month for us." - Andy Preece.
Boston currently sit eighth in the Vanarama National League North table, two points behind the Magpies - having played a game more.
The Pilgrims come into this fixture on the back of a mixed bag in terms of recent form, losing last time out to Rushall Olympic and an FA Trophy exit on penalties to Coalville Town - prior to that, Ian Culverhouse's side beat Hereford and Peterborough Sports.
Our last meeting with Boston at the Jakemans Community Stadium was in August 2022, a 1-4 win with Jon Ustabasi, Connor Hall and Billy Whitehouse on the scoresheet.
