Following today's fixture abandonment versus Spennymoor Town, Chorley FC can now officially release the following statement.
After referee Elliot Bell consulted with both managers and playing staff after 72 minutes, a decision was made by the match officials to initially call a ten minute break - then it was concluded that the match be abandoned due to the pitch being unplayable from the heavy rain.
Please retain all match tickets for the time being, until a full announcement is made regarding the game being replayed and rearranged.
A full announcement will be made online and across our social media platforms once an agreement is set and in place from both clubs.
