A thank you to Jeff Clarke

AFTER many years of dedicated and passionate service, we would like to take this time to announce the departure of our Commercial Director, Jeff Clarke, as he steps aside to spend more time with his wife and family.

Jeff has been an integral part of the Magpies’ journey both on and off the field.

His energy, enthusiasm and infectious personality have made him a familiar and much-loved figure around Victory Park.

Whether it was his memorable, quirky Facebook posts, his signature leather shoes, or his genuine love for the club; Jeff brought a unique spark that added to the special family feel at Chorley FC.

Over his time with us, Jeff has built strong and lasting relationships with sponsors, supporters, local businesses and members of our club. His efforts have played a significant role in strengthening our commercial links and community connections, helping to drive the club forward in line with our ambitions.

Whilst the team has grown on the pitch, so too has our commercial reach and Jeff has significantly contributed to that progress.

We are incredibly grateful for everything Jeff has given to the club. He leaves with our sincere thanks, best wishes and the firm knowledge that he will always be part of the Chorley FC family. We’re sure we haven’t seen the last of him.

A message from Chorley FC Chairman, Jamie Vermiglio:

“Jeff is a character and one that’s contributed greatly to the whole ethos and culture of our club.

He’s the kind of man you’ll see collecting glasses, emptying bins, and then securing commercial partnerships all in the same day. That’s just who he is.

He’s continued to strengthen the club’s position in the local community and his larger-than-life character will be missed. But without doubt, he’ll be back; he won’t be able to keep away. Thanks, Jeff.”

A word from Chorley FC COO, Tom Clarke on behalf of the club and owners:

"I'd like to take this time to thank Jeff personally for his hard work and service over the years.

Jeff has worked tirelessly and has dedicated much of his time to Chorley FC, and that's testament to his commitment to the club throughout his time here!"

I for one this is not a goodbye, but, more of a "see you later". Jeff will always be welcome to attend games, and continue to spread his love and joy towards the club in any capacity he desires.

Once again, thank you Jeff from the bottom of my heart from me, and the shareholders at the club, your efforts and work done since coming to the club many moons ago has made a significant difference. We wish you all the very best for the future in your retirement.”

Finally, a message from Jeff himself upon his retirement.

"I would like to take this time out to say thank you. Thank you to all of our sponsors, partners, shareholders, supporters, staff and volunteers.

There are far too many people to name. I have met and worked alongside people who I met as strangers, who I now consider friends for life. I love Chorley Football Club, I really do.

It is sad to move on into retirement but I feel now is the right time for me and my family. I have loved every minute of my time and will attend games as and when I can, to get behind the lads and cheer them on."

All commercial enquiries going forward will be managed by CEO Terry Robinson and COO Tom Clarke. They can be contacted at commercial@chorleyfc.com.
