AFTER four seasons and almost 150 appearances in the Black and White stripes, Ollie Shenton has decided now is the time to move on to pastures new with Leek Town.

Shents has played a big part in our midfield since signing from boyhood club, Stoke City in the summer of 2020.

The 26-year old scored 17 goals for the Magpies, including an unforgettable strike against Darlington in our 8-0 win against the Quakers in 2023/24.

Manager, Andy Preece, had the following parting message to say following Shents' departure.

"A top player and person, Shents has been a pleasure to work with.

He’s given us some great memories and played a key part in our famous FA Cup run.

One of the most popular lads in the dressing room he will be missed massively.

After a really good season previously last season he didn’t get as many opportunities as we’d have liked due to great form of lads in same position.

If there’s one lad you want to do well its Shents, I hope it works out well at Leek Town and he kicks on again."

Ollie wished to send the following message to our supporters upon his departure.

"I want to thank everyone at Chorley for the last four seasons, a great club and a great set of lads. I wish you all the best for the future."

Everybody at Chorley FC would like to wish Ollie the very best for his future endeavours in his career. Thank you, Shents!
