CHORLEY FC are delighted to announce that Scott Wilson has put pen to paper on a new, long-term deal to extend his stay with the football club.
Scott signed for the Magpies back in July 2022 having moved on from fellow Vanarama National League North side, Curzon Ashton.
The 24-year old slotted seamlessly into the Magpies backline in 2022/23 and has made a total of 86 appearances across two seasons to date, scoring four goals along the way.
Scott offers versatility in being able to play at centre-half and at left-back, a particular highlight of the 2023/24 season for the Magpies being his unbelievable volley against the Nash in September 2023.
Manager Andy Preece had the following to say upon completing the deal.
"I'm delighted to have completed this deal with Scott to keep him with us for the season ahead. Scott has been fantastic for us across the two seasons and I've no doubt he will continue to go from strength to strength in 2024/25 and beyond.
Scott's hard-work, tenacity and character is a credit to him and to have that with us in the dressing room along with his ability is a big positive for us. Scott was my Player of the Season in 2022/23 and will only continue to improve.
I'm made up to have extended his stay with us, he's a big part of our defence and our successes at the back and to have the group together is a massive positive."
