THE Magpies fell to a single goal in Worcestershire as Kidderminster Harriers claimed the spoils at Aggborough.

A quick start for the visitors saw Billy Whitehouse stinging the palms of Tom Palmer within 90 seconds. Otherwise, the majority of the play was with Harriers.

A couple of threatening Ashley Hemmings set pieces made way for the forward to beat the offside trap, beat Matt Urwin, but not the post. The follow up from Ethan Freemantle was well saved, but seconds later Harriers were ahead. Caleb Richards storming into the box before finishing low past Urwin.

Connor Hall saw a close range effort deflected wide off an Adam Blakeman free kick in response, but it was very much Kiddy in command as the first half came to a close.

Very little transpired for the first 20 minutes of the second half, neither side able to anything in the final third. Ollie Shenton skimmed an effort into the gloves of Palmer as the Magpies probed closer to the Harriers’ goal. Hall then hit the bar off a Blakeman corner, before the latter hit the Kiddy wall with a free kick.

But that was, unfortunately, that. Jon Ustabaşı’s late run and shot aside, the Magpies couldn’t find the chance they’d been looking for as Harriers held firm for the win.
