CHORLEY are back at home this Saturday for the first time since our opening day draw against Brackley Town two weeks ago.

The Magpies battled away to earn themselves a well-deserved point on the road at Chester on Tuesday, our third consecutive draw to start up the 2023/24 campaign.

Carlton Ubaezounu goes close against Chester (David Airey)

“We’ve had to defend for our lives, fight and battle - second-half they weren't comfortable at all, we could have nicked it and the crowd suddenly went quiet, we kept the ball a lot better and showed a lot more character.” - Andy Preece

Warrington Town come into the Vanarama National League North having been promoted via the playoffs in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, fending off Bamber by a goal-to-nil.

Mark Beesley’s side have retained the vast majority of their squad from the previous campaign and have also secured Matty Grivosti and Connor Woods permanently, having had the pair on loan for last season.

The Yellows opened up their season with a comfortable 4-0 win over Southport and since have lost at home to Blyth Spartans, before beating Buxton at Cantilever Park on Tuesday.
