BACK home this weekend with a bit of catching up to do after a difficult mini road trip yielded a solitary point from games against Peterborough Sports & Kidderminster Harriers.

However, the Magpies (14th, 18pts) are undefeated in nine league games at the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium (with just five home league defeats in 33 games going back to October 2020) and are looking to make it three straight home wins against Farsley Celtic (19th, 13pts).

Picking up results at home is very important. Our record at home over the last year and a half is excellent and we’re looking to continue our undefeated streak as we head into an important run of games – Andy Preece

Farsley Celtic (

  • Founded 2010 (Originally 1908)

Last Season

Connor Hall rolls home at The Citadel in February

Millenic Alli rose highest to head home a late winner at HQ last October, as the Magpies came from behind to take all three points. Lewis Turner’s early first half opener initially cancelled out by Billy Whitehouse.

February’s return fixture at The Citadel produced a downpour of goals and rain as the sides shared the points in a 3-3 draw. Jimmy Spencer, Will Hayhurst & Adam Clayton for the Celts; Billy Whitehouse, Connor Hall & Adam Blakeman on target for the Magpies.

Match Sponsors

We’re delighted to have Gaming Direct Ltd on board as match sponsor this weekend.

The Blackburn-based firm offers a specialised transport service for the leisure and gaming industry – collecting and distributing leisure and gaming machines in the UK with their fleet of Artic, 7.5 tonne and Luton vehicles.

They’ve backed the Magpies for the last 16 years, and most recently extended their sponsorship deal by another five years – renewing their sponsorship of the Frank Powell Stand, along with their two sponsor boards, an advert in Magpie Review and taking out more match sponsorship packages for the season ahead.

For more information on the services Gaming Direct offer call 01254 675278 or head for Facebook.

Enjoying the Carlsberg Box this weekend are our old friends from Chorley-based Rivers Electrical Ltd.

Craig, who doubles as our club electrician, and the team at Rivers Electrical have been enthusiastic backers of the Magpies for a number of seasons – sponsoring both the club as a whole with sponsors boards, match day hospitality packages and a Magpie Review advert – as well as first team and education programme shirt sponsorships.
