ANOTHER huge home game coming up this weekend as a resurgent Buxton head for the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium to take on a Magpies side who’ve suffered just one defeat in their last 10 outings.

Despite their lowly league position, the Bucks have rattled off a number of impressive results recently. The latest of which was Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Darlington.

We know the test that we face this afternoon and we’re ready for it. We’re looking for a big home backing to drive the lads on yet again as we look to further cement our place in the top seven – Andy Preece

Buxton FC (

  • Founded 1877
  • Manager Craig Elliott (since Dec 2022)
  • This season 17th in Vanarama National League North (40 points from 33 games)

A real ding-dong battle in horrible conditions during early January at Silverlands. Harvey Smith and Connor Hall on target for Andy Preece’s men, with loan duo Brad Jackson and Jim Simms replying for the home side.
