We are back on the road this Saturday to take on Northern Premier League side, Bradford Park Avenue.
The Magpies suffered a disappointing second-half collapse in midweek at the hands of Oldham Athletic and will be hoping to secure a better result this time around.
Currently. Andy Preece’s side only have this and the fixture against Carlisle United (25/7) pencilled in for pre-season (subject to change) before the National League North kicks-off in the first weekend of August.
Jack Hazelhurst in action against Oldham Athletic (David Airey)
"It was really pleasing, the way we played going forward – some really good stuff and they struggled really to contain us, we were just left a bit open on the counter…” – Andy Preece
Saturday will be Bradford Park Avenue’s fifth pre-season outing and The Green Army are a side familiar to Chorley, having faced-off against eachother for a number of seasons in the National League North.
Mark Bower’s side may have been relegated from the division in late April, however, hold a solid record against the Magpies in recent seasons, (0-0, 0-0, 0-0, 1-1).
Thackley AFC (3-1), Campion AFC (2-5), Huddersfield Town (0-4), Bradford City (1-1, 3-2 on penalties)
