Chorley FC can announce the outgoing short-term loan of Willem Tomlinson to Marine AFC.
Whilst Tommo temporarily plies his trade elsewhere, we believe the loan spell will not only be beneficial to the player but also strengthen Chorley FC’s ambitions.
Manager Andy Preece had this to say regarding the move…
“Tommo worked extremely hard to get himself in the best shape possible during pre-season and up until the last two weeks, was looking good.
Unfortunately a setback meant he missed the last two games and some training.
In order to ensure Tommo is up to speed and in the best condition to positively contribute to the team, a run of consecutive games is essential. Tommo is in agreement and knows that after this, he should be back to the levels we know he is capable of.
A short loan to Marine gives him this opportunity at a good level. When he comes back he should be back to his high levels and then be able to contribute the way we all know he can.”
