WE’RE back at home this Saturday to take on newly-promoted, Bishop’s Stortford at Victory Park.

The Magpies rounded off a stellar bank holiday weekend last time out, winning 2-0 away at Southport after beating King’s Lynn Town 3-1 on home soil, last Saturday.

Jack Sampson celebrates the opening goal against Southport (David Airey)

“I thought the way we managed the game (after the red card) was great… A great, all-round team performance at a difficult place (Southport) and now it’s a decent start to the season. - Andy Preece

We welcome Bishop’s Stortford as the second newly-promoted side to visit Victory Park this season - the Blues having topped the Isthmian League Premier Division last season.

Steve Smith’s side have had a mixed start to the campaign, winning on the opening day but had to wait until Monday to get their second - a 1-0 win against Boston United.
