WE are taking a look at the new sides entering the Enterprise National League North for the 2026/27 season. Finally of the six teams, we are headed to Lincolnshire.

Spalding United is another team that Chorley will face for the first time ever in next season’s campaign.

Known as The Tulips, the side led by manager Jimmy Dean have risen through the leagues in recent years, including two promotions in the last three seasons which sees them playing at this level for the first time in their history.

Spalding went up in remarkable style going through the playoffs, where in the final they faced Real Bedford, however they were trailing heading into stoppage time before a 93rd minute penalty was converted sending the game to extra time, which was where The Tulips went on to score two goals without reply to win 4-2 and seal promotion.

They finished second in the Southern League Premier Central – defeating both Halesowen Town and Real Bedford in playoff action to embark on the highest level of football in their history.

It will be the first time that the Magpies will travel to the Sir Halley Stewart Field when the two sides meet next season.
