WE are taking a closer look at the new sides entering the Enterprise National League North for the 2026/27 season. Up next, we are headed to the North East.

Hebburn Town is a completely new name to the Magpies as this season will mark the first time that both teams have faced each other throughout their histories.

Known as The Hornets, the side led by manager Daniel Moore have seen an unprecedented rise over the past decade, where they were at one stage competing in the Northern League against other sides in the Tyne & Wear Area, to where they find themselves today – about to compete in the highest level of football since they were founded.

During this period of success for Hebburn, they enjoyed a famous day out at Wembley where they won the FA Vase back in the 2019/20 season.

Last season was the best season yet for The Hornets as, against the odds they won the Northern Premier League Title – fighting off the likes of Hednesford Town and FC United of Manchester – to secure promotion to the National League North.

It will be a first trip for Chorley supporters to the Hebburn Sports and Social Ground when we face off against them next season.
