CHORLEY FC, the Chorley FC Community Foundation, and Chorley Council are proud to be co-hosting a special football event this coming Friday at Westway Sports Hub, running from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
The tournament forms part of Chorley Council’s Healthy Minds campaign, which is designed to promote positive mental health and well-being across the borough. The event will showcase the power of football and community activity as a way to support inclusion, connection, and healthy living.
The centrepiece of the afternoon will be a mixed-gender, nine-a-side football tournament, featuring representatives from Chorley FC and the Chorley FC Community Foundation taking on employees from Chorley Council and South Ribble Council.
Alongside the action on the pitch, there will be a range of information stalls highlighting opportunities and services available locally through the council, the Foundation, and wider community organisations. These stalls will provide a chance for members of the public to find out more about the groups, programmes, and activities on offer.
The event is designed to create a welcoming and supportive environment, reflecting the atmosphere participants can expect when joining Foundation-led groups and community sessions.
This collaboration underlines the shared commitment of Chorley FC, the Foundation, and Chorley Council to promoting social inclusion, improving well-being, and strengthening community ties through sport.
