Another positive update on our Christmas Day opening!

Community first.

We’re teaming with Chorley FC Community Foundation to make a difference this Christmas, and we’re proud to share an update on how that work is already taking shape.

Following the announcement that we will once again open our doors on Christmas Day for anyone who might otherwise spend the day alone, we’ve been humbled by the response we’ve received.

Many people have asked how they can support or contribute, even after learning that the day itself is fully funded thanks to the brilliant backing of Chorley Council, especially Councillor Aaron Beaver along with the CAF Community Fund.

Our commitment to the community doesn’t stop at opening the club on Christmas Day. Thanks to a generous donation from Asda Chorley, the Community Foundation will be working with our Chorley Community Friendship Group to create 100 Winter Warmth Packs. These will be delivered to people who may not be able to leave their homes or spend time with others over the festive period, a small gesture to remind them that their community cares.

And to those who have already chosen to donate to our Christmas fund, thank you. While contributions are not needed to run Christmas Day itself, any money received will be used carefully and thoughtfully to make the day a little more special for those who join us, small gifts, treats, and touches that show Chorley looks after its own.

At Chorley FC, football has always been about more than the game. It’s about people, connection and community spirit. Working alongside Chorley FC Community Foundation, and with the support of our volunteers, partners and supporters, we’re committed to making sure no one feels forgotten this Christmas.

Together, we’re making a difference.

That’s Chorley.
