TOMORROW’S Isuzu FA Trophy third round tie at Notts County has become the latest of our matches to fall foul of the ongoing cold snap.
Temperatures had dipped below -6 degrees at Meadow Lane for two consecutive nights and there continues to be a significant surface frost, despite the pitch being re-covered immediately after our hosts’ 2-0 National League win over Gateshead on Tuesday.
With the cold weather continuing into tomorrow there was significant concern this morning that the pitch wouldn’t be playable – those concerns have proved correct following this afternoon’s pitch inspection.
We will now make the trip to Nottingham, as per FA Trophy competition rules, on Tuesday night (7:45pm).

Fans who’ve already bought tickets for the tie can still use them for Tuesday’s encounter, or they can request a refund from our hosts by calling 0115 955 7210. We will be making an announcement shortly regarding away travel for Tuesday.
The rearrangement means Tuesday’s already rearranged National League North match at Buxton will once again be moved.
Full details of the new dates for AFC Telford United (h), Blyth Spartans (a) and Buxton (a) will be announced in the near future.
