Matt Urwin is back!

WE are delighted to announce that club legend, Matt Urwin, is returning to the football club as a replacement for Steven Drench.

Matty's experience will prove invaluable and we hope that you, our supporters, are as excited as we are we are to welcome him back.

Matt had the following to say upon his return…

“I’m absolutely delighted to be back with the club. It’s an honour to return and take over the reins from Drenchy, somebody who I have huge respect for.

My affinity with this football club is clear. Almost ten years here as a player, captain of the side, and now back again in this role, ready to slip the gloves on if called upon.

When the opportunity came about, it was a no-brainer. I love my existing role as Senior Academy Goalkeeping Coach at Blackburn Rovers, and to be able to combine the two is the perfect harmony for me.

I can’t wait to get down to business, and more importantly. see you all again soon. UTM!”

Welcome back, Matty!
