CHORLEY FC are absolutely delighted to announce that Luke Summerfield has put pen to paper on a new contract with the Magpies, which will run through to the end of the 2025/26 season.
Having initially signed for the club on non-contract terms in August, Andy Preece has now made the decision to reward Summers with a new deal for the remainder of our campaign.
The 37-year old has made six total appearances so far, including one start, against Curzon Ashton.
Here's what the gaffer had to say regarding the deal.
"He's been fantastic since he come in, a proper professional, great with the lads, when he's played he's been superb - a great leader for us and delighted that he wants to come here and play for us, he's really liked it and it says a lot about us, the lads and the way we play."
Luke also spoke in light of having signed his new contract.
"Ever since I've come through the door I've enjoyed myself, being 37 and experienced it's all about playing somewhere, where you're wanted, everybody has been first-class, I've enjoyed training and playing in the games, I'm looking forward to carrying on here at Chorley."
Of course, Luke will be available for selection when the Magpies take on South Shields tomorrow in the North East.
Congratulations, Luke!
