The Opponents

The Seals have had an up and down run of late in all competitions in recent weeks.

Exiting the Isuzu FA Trophy last Saturday to Gainsborough Trinity in a 1-0 defeat away, Chester have registered only two wins in their previous eight league games.

Their last league game was a 1-0 away win at Needham Market, thanks to Harrison Burke.

Charlie Caton is the Club's top goalscorer this season, scoring an impressive nine goals so far this season for the Blues.

Caton has been a key man for Chester this season and will be essential for the Seals this Saturday.

As for the player who is creating the most chances for the Seals, it is Declan Weeks, who has four assists so far and is one player who certainly should be kept an eye on this weekend.

The Manager

Calum McIntyre is the manager in charge of the Seals.

Having taken over in the 2021/22 season, McIntyre has led Chester on some impressive campaigns.

Guiding the Seals to third place in the Vanarama National League North in only his second season in management.

The 31-year-old would then lose the play-off semi-finals to Brackley Town.

McIntyre would also be crowned Vanarma National League North Manager of the Season for 2022/23.

In that season, the Seals went on an impressive 21-match unbeaten away streak and had the best defensive record in the league.

A word from Preecy

“Make no mistake, this is going to be a really, really tough game. It’s always a tricky affair at Chester and although they’re not on the best run of late, we know the threats they pose and will have to be at our absolute best to get the right result on Saturday.”
