GOOD Friday brings with it the challenge of Chester at the Deva Stadium (tickets no longer available to away fans).

The business end of the season sees the Magpies battling with eight teams for the final four playoff places – our hosts sit third and have a first round playoff bye in their sights.

It’s a massive weekend for us and if we perform the way we did against King’s Lynn we’re going to give ourselves an excellent chance of getting positive results from our two games  Andy Preece

Our Opponents

  • Club Chester FC (The Seals)
  • Founded 2010 (originally 1885)
  • Manager Calum McIntyre (1st season)
  • This season 3rd in Vanarama National League North (73pts from 41 games)

Back in September

The Magpies snatched a point with time expiring against the Seals back in September at a raucous Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium.

Connor Hall and a late Jack Sampson header secured the 2-2 draw, after Adam Thomas and Darren Stephenson had twice put the visitors ahead in front of 1,679 fans.
