WE'RE absolutely delighted to announce that Mike Calveley has put pen to paper on a new contract to extend his stay with the Magpies.
Calvs, a mainstay in the Magpies' midfield, managed to hit double figures for goals for the second successive campaign last season and has 33 goals in total for the club with 264 appearances since signing for the club from Curzon Ashton in 2020.
Mike has made 44 appearances for Andy Preece's side, scoring six. A combative, hard-working, central midfielder, has proven to play a big part in recent successes of the Magpies.
The 26-year old played a key role in the Magpies' infamous FA Cup run, scoring in the Third Round of the competition when Jamie Vermiglio's team beat Derby County during COVID.4
Calvs had this to say upon the completion of the deal.
"I'm made up to have gotten this done so quickly, it was a no brainer for me and I'm excited for what the future holds for me here.
Here's to many more magical moments together, Calvs!
A special thank you to Margaret & Brian Rogerson for sponsoring Mike for the 2025/26 campaign.
