WHO doesn’t like a deadline day signing – we welcome attacking midfielder Marco Rus to the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium, on loan from Championship side Coventry City.
The 20-year-old Romanian is no stranger to the National League North, or the Magpies, after he scored for Hereford during our 1-1 draw with the Bulls at Edgar Street back in December.

Marco is a really exciting talent who will give us more options going forward. He was outstanding playing against us for Hereford earlier in the season and I’ve kept in touch with Coventry since that game. That perseverance has paid off and I’d like to thank Coventry for helping us with the signing – Andy Preece
Capped at u16/17 level by Romania, Marco started out with Yeovil Town and spent two seasons as a scholar with Southampton before joining the Sky Blues in 2021.
His last outing for the Championship club was on Tuesday, when he captained and scored for their u21s in a 2-0 PDL North win over Peterborough United u21s.
Welcome aboard, Marco!
