Chorley FC are delighted to announce Jamie Vermiglio as new club chairman ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The 41-year old returns to the Magpies’ fold having previously been first-team manager between 2018-2022 – a spell which has seen the football club go from strength to strength to one of the biggest names on the non-league circuit.
Jamie brings a depth of experience within the game and has a proven track record of successful leadership and is a welcome addition for the future of the football club.
“It is a privilege and an honour to have the opportunity to serve Chorley Football Club as Chairman. I am excited to work with the new owners and Andy to build on the good work of Ken and Graham. I look forward to playing a part in the development of the club, while helping to preserve its values and heritage.” – Jamie Vermiglio
Jamie returns having served with us at Chorley FC for over a decade as a player and then in a coaching capacity that included his 165 game stint as first-team manager. (61 wins, 46 draws and 58 defeats)
Our new chairman originally joined Matt Jansen’s backroom team after retiring from playing, before replacing the former as first-team manager in June 2018.
Two playoff campaigns, a promotion to the National League, two FA Cup first-round proper appearances and the famous FA Cup fourth-round appearance against Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2021 are just some of the memorable memories made from Jamie’s previous time with the club.
Everyone associated with Chorley FC would like to welcome Jamie back home to Victory Park and look forward to what the future holds within this new era for the 2023/24 season and beyond.
