AS of this afternoon (Tuesday, March 17) operations at Victory Park have been temporarily shut down due to the suspension of all football activities across the UK and around the world.
The National League is suspended until April 3 at the earliest, and because of the increasing severity of the Coronavirus outbreak we’re taking the sensible approach and closing operations for an indeterminate period.
At the moment our next fixture is schedule for Saturday, April 4, at Victory Park against Sutton United. Updates will be available in the coming weeks on that fixture and our remaining four matches of 2019/20 against Notts County, Hartlepool United, Maidenhead United and Boreham Wood, as well as the three already postponed this month.
This very website and our feeds on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube will continue to post a variety of content until we’re back playing, and if you feel the need to support the club a little the online shop will remain in operation – visit, email or post your orders and a pick-up can be arranged.
We’re also continuing to plan for the return of football with the launch of our Commercial Brochure for next season, promoting the 200 Club to bring in sponsors and much needed revenue to help with ground improvements PLUS we’ve got an announcement coming up about a first sponsorship deal secured for 2020/21.
The last thing to say is thank you for the support so far this season. We’re going to need it more than ever when we return. Stick with us everyone.
