LAST TIME OUT
It finished 0-0 at Victoria Road in late September, but it was anything other than a drab goalless encounter. The Magpies could, and probably should, have taken all three points; out-shooting the hosts 18 to 10 while missing a late penalty. The game was also Matt Urwin’s first of the season, and he made it count with a superb injury time save to keep the scores level.
THAT’S WHAT HE SAID
We’re putting together a very good sequence of results at the moment and we go into the Dagenham game, like we do every game, with the knowledge that another win is very possible. The players have never let their heads drop, even when results weren’t going our way, and you could see at Barrow on Tuesday how well we did even when the pressure was building in the second half. The belief is very much there so we have to make Saturday count once again for what would be another important three points – Jamie Vermiglio
