THE Magpies rounded off the away part of pre-season with a fourth win on the spin; two goals in each half finishing off a spirited Longridge Town side at the Mike Riding Ground.
Marcus Carver hit a first half double, firing in his first after going clean through before hitting the roof of the net from a yard out for the second.
The home side gave as good as they got for long periods of the first half, but the second half belong firmly to the visitors. Courtney Meppen-Walters & Chris Holroyd made their seasonal debuts, and it was the latter who combined with Alex Newby to lay on the third for Trialist (17), who hit the net again from close range following another Alex assist to finish off the scoring.
