PRE-SEASON’S just over two weeks away. Hopefully everyone’s enjoying their short break and is raring to go for 2019/20.
All the club’s pre-season moves will appear in this space along with details of each and every July friendly ahead of the opening round of Vanarama National League fixtures on Saturday, August 3.

Tuesday, July 2 (7pm)
Euxton Villa (a) – £3 adults & FREE under-16s (entry fee includes Derian House donation)
Pre-season begins with the traditional opener at the Jim Fowler Memorial Ground as we take on our neighbours from the West Lancashire League.
Saturday, July 6 (3pm)
Charnock Richard (a) – £5 adults, £3 concessions & FREE under-16s
About as local as it gets for a pre-season game. We continue our early preparations for the new National League season at our North West Counties League neighbours to the west on what we hope will be a gorgeous July afternoon.

Atherton Collieries (a) – £ adults, £ concessions
We make the short journey to the Skuna Stadium to face Michael Clegg’s EvoStik NPL Division One West champions in our third July tune-up. Colls have enjoyed a successful few years, rising up three levels in five seasons, winning three league titles on the way.

A trip into the Lancashire countryside is the order of the day for the second weekend fixture of pre-season. The North West Counties Division One North champions are our hosts as they prepare for life in the fifth tier of non-league football following a 144-goal 2019/20 campaign.

The first of three high profile games against top professional clubs sees Alex Neil’s Lilywhites make the short hop down the A6 for the opening Victory Park match of 2019/20.

Wigan Athletic under-23s (h) – £7.50 adults, £5 12-16s, FREE under-12s
Our neighbours to the south head to Victory Park for the second of four consecutive home matches in the lead up to opening day. Last season the Lactics’ development side was made up of young professionals and second year scholars.

Everton XI (h) – £7.50 adults, £5 12-16s, FREE under-12s
The Toffees put together a mixed professional side to visit Victory Park for the penultimate pre-season game of our schedule.
Saturday, July 27 (3pm)
FC United (h) – £7.50 adults, £5 12-16s, FREE under-12s
Old foes collide in our final warm-up game before the Vanarama National League campaign kicks off on Saturday, August 3. The Red Rebels head to Victory Park with their Northern Premier League season still a couple of weeks away.
If you want to catch the CFC Women’s first team in action over pre-season Andy Ramskill’s side are playing six away matches across consecutive Sundays ahead of the 2019/20 FA Women’s National League campaign..
