Derian House Children’s Hospice will take over Victory Park when The Magpies play host to Bradford (Park Avenue) in the Vanarama National League North this weekend.
Derian House and Chorley Football Club have worked together on numerous events throughout the year to help raise awareness and funds for the hospice, including a special fundraiser at Frederick’s Ice Cream parlour, hosting the Christmas party and a recent delivery of Easter eggs to the children, meaning the connection between the two parties is growing ever stronger.
Since the hospice opened its doors, they’ve provided respite and end-of-life care to more than 300 children and young people across the North West. Their ethos is to make sure that every child and young person who comes to Derian is able to make the very most of the time they have.
The work the team at Derian House do is truly inspiring. The staff take care to make sure the children and family are comfortable with their situation which is incredible to see. I’m very proud we have an association with something so important to the community. I’m also happy to organise their visit this weekend and hope they raise vital funds they need – Josh Vosper (Commercial Manager, Chorley FC)
We are proud of our association with Chorley Football Club and are overwhelmed with their continued support and generosity. It is the hard work and commitment of supporters like Chorley FC that we can offer support to the children, young people and their families who use Derian House. We need over £4m a year to provide the vital care needed across Lancashire, with only 7.1% coming from government so thank you to the Magpies for your amazing support – David Robinson (CEO, Derian House)
