Latest NewsCraig wins League’s Volunteer of the month award

14th January 2019

A massive congratulations from everyone at Chorley FC goes to club volunteer Craig Rivers who’s scooped the National League North Volunteer of the Month award for December.

Craig carries out a multitude of roles for the Club, including match day electrician and general support with electrical maintenance around the Victory Park.

Away from the ground Craig is involved with the Community Foundation, in particular working with family events and initiatives.

He has also set up a Pica Pica refreshments shack which is run with wife Anne at every home match, doubling as the focal point to raise awareness for the community work.

Chorley FC is a non-league football club based in Lancashire, currently playing in the sixth tier of the English football pyramid.

Founded in 1875 as a rugby club before converting to football in 1883, The Magpies have played at their Victory Park home since 1920, reached the FA Cup Second Round twice and won a record 18 Lancashire FA Challenge Trophies.
