The Magpies continued their impressive early-season form by booking their place in the next round of the Emirates FA Cup with a comprehensive victory over Leek Town.

Three goals in six first half minutes put the tie beyond the Evo-Stik NPL Division One West visitors, with Marcus Carver, Adam Blakeman & Dale Whitham all on target for the home side.

The Magpies made four changes from their 3-1 victory over Alfreton last Saturday with Adam Anson, Stephen Jordan, Dale Whitham & Jake Cottrell coming into the starting XI. New signing Jordan Lussey made the bench alongside the returning Wes Fletcher.

Goalie Danny Eccles was a late change, as he made his debut for Chorley in place of Matt Urwin.

The Blues made two changes from their FA Cup replay victory over Parkgate, with ‘keeper Danny Roberts & Rob Stevenson returning.
