What a game of football. The Magpies made it six from six to start the season, remaining on top spot after goals from Alex Newby and Josh Wilson gave Jamie Vermiglio’s side just enough breathing space to repel a late onslaught from the home side.
Blyth made one change from their defeat at Alfreton as Jarrett Rivers replaced the injured Aaron Cunningham. The Magpies also made one change, with goal hero Josh Wilson returning to the starting XI ahead of Louis Almond.

That’s what he said
“If you’d have offered me a point before the game I would probably have taken it. But that’s not to say we didn’t want to try and win the game. We went out, attacked, and got what we deserved” – Jamie Vermiglio
